FORCE Cancer Charity and waste management experts DCW are teaming up to get you into the festive spirit this Christmas with a scrumptious new fundraiser.

DCW – specialists in environmentally friendly waste disposal and recycling services in the South West – are sponsoring FORCE’s Mince Pies for Cancer in December.

For just £5 you can get a goody bag with two delicious mince pies, courtesy of Ryders Bakery, and a “build your own” hot chocolate dream delivered to your door.

FORCE is encouraging businesses across Exeter and surrounding areas to join together this Christmas and take part.

All orders will be delivered on Thursday December 9 between 12 noon and 3pm.

It’s a great chance to get teams, friends and neighbours together while helping to raise awareness and vital funds for FORCE.

Personal

“We’ve launched Mince Pies for Cancer on the back of the successful cream tea event we run in the summer,” said FORCE Fundraising Development Officer Olly Watts.

“We delivered 900 cream teas to businesses and homes, raising almost £6,000.

“It’s the personal touch that makes these events so special.

“We are fortunate to have some amazing volunteers who go above and beyond to support their local cancer charity. Each festive bag will be made up and carefully packed by our volunteers who will then go out and deliver them.

“We anticipate a great response from businesses and what better way to get set for Christmas than with a scrumptious delight and a get-together.

“We are hugely grateful for the support of DCW as our sponsor for this event.”

Incredible

Emily Almond, DCW Business Support Manager, said: “We are proud to support a local charity who do such incredible work in our area.

“Cancer has sadly affected our family directly and our wider DCW family so it’s truly an honour to support such a brilliant local charity.

“We hope that many other local businesses – our neighbours, customers and suppliers, will join FORCEs and support this amazing fundraiser this Christmas”

Mince Pies for Cancer will become part of FORCE’s for cancer portfolio and the charity hopes that in its first year will raise over £2,500, which will enable FORCE to continue supporting patients and their families as they come to terms with a cancer diagnosis.
