Become a Big Give Christmas Challenge Pledger by Friday 28th August

This year, for the first time ever, FORCE is taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge, the UK’s largest match-funding campaign.

Our goal is to raise £20,000 to help ensure local people affected by cancer across Devon can continue to access the emotional, practical and wellbeing support they need.

Everyone who donates via our Big Give page during the week of Tuesday 1st – Tuesday 8th December at 12pm (midday) will have their gift doubled thanks to Big Give’s Champion funders and FORCE Pledgers – our supporters who promise to donate to provide a portion of the campaign’s match funding.

Can you become a FORCE Big Give Pledger?

Big Give Pledgers are crucial to ensure we can take part in this fantastic opportunity to double the value of our supporters’ donations. Not only will your pledge enable FORCE to participate in the Christmas Challenge, it will also encourage further donations from others looking to multiply their giving and may even attract further funding from Big Give’s Champion funders, helping us to secure even more doubled donations to maximise the Christmas Challenge’s impact.

Why are pledges so important?

Pledges are essential for us to take part in the Christmas Challenge. Without them, we cannot access this incredible opportunity to secure matched funding and raise more money for people affected by cancer.

Your pledge will help us:

  • Double public donations during the campaign
  • Unlock additional funding from Big Give Champions
  • Reach more people affected by cancer across Devon
  • Raise vital funds for FORCE services
Why are pledges so important?

How does it work?

  • The minimum pledge is £100.
  • Pledges must be confirmed by Friday 28 August.
  • Pledgers will be invited to fulfil their pledge after the campaign ends, between 8 December and 15 January.
  • If FORCE does not achieve its full campaign target, you will only be asked to pay a proportion of your pledge. For example, if you pledge £200 and only £150 is required, you would only pay £150.
How does it work?

Can you help us reach our pledge target?

To participate in the Christmas Challenge, we need supporters to pledge a total of £5,000.

Your pledge could help unlock thousands of pounds in additional funding and make a real difference to local people facing cancer.

Together, we can ensure that no one in Devon faces cancer alone.

All funds raised through the Christmas Challenge will support FORCE’s services across Devon, helping us continue to provide free counselling, wellbeing support, information and practical help to anyone affected by cancer.
