FORCE works locally to support anyone affected by cancer.
Cancer brings about change in people’s lives and hearing that you or someone close to you has cancer can be a distressing experience. A diagnosis is often accompanied by a range of different emotions which can prove challenging to face alone.
Under normal circumstances, our Support and Information Centre in Exeter is open every weekday, except Bank Holidays, from 9:30am until 4:30pm.
It offers a relaxed and comfortable setting where you can come for information and advice and discuss your needs.
You do not need a referral, which means you can call in when it’s convenient to you. You can meet other Centre users, talk with our trained volunteers and receive the help and support you need from our professional staff. For more information, read our Support and Advice leaflet.
We also take our services into community hospitals in Devon when possible and have exercise programmes across the county.
All services within the Centre and the wider community are funded by FORCE so there is no charge to you.
We work closely with hospital staff involved in the treatment of cancer patients and also have links with other cancer charities which means that if we cannot help immediately we can usually put you in touch with someone who can.
Please take a look at our short film, which explains what is on offer at our Support and Information Centre.
