Leave a gift in your Will

As a charity, FORCE is here to bring care, advice and support to local people facing some of the most difficult times of their lives.

And we couldn’t do it without the kindness of those who choose to remember us in their Wills.

By leaving a gift to FORCE in your Will, you’ll be investing in our mission to continue offering the best possible support for people dealing with cancer – face to face and close to home.

Your gift will help provide specialist support and information to thousands of local people every year, and it will fund local cancer research projects and equipment that improve diagnosis and treatment.

FORCE is funded entirely through donations and fundraising. Gifts in Wills are a significant part of the £1.9 million we need to raise this year (2026) and offer hope to the people we support today and in the future.

For more information, or to discuss remembering FORCE in your Will, please contact Rachael Bryett on 01392 406150 or email rachael.bryett@forcecancercharity.co.uk.

Making your Will

An up-to-date Will ensures your wishes are known, your loved ones are looked after, and your legacy lives on in the way you choose. Whether you want to provide for your family,

protect your home, or support a charity close to your heart, creating a valid Will makes things easier for those you leave behind.

There are different types of gifts you can leave:

  • A residuary gift is what remains of your estate once debts, taxes and other gifts have been paid.
  • A pecuniary gift is a specific sum of money.
  • A specific gift is a particular item or collection of items.

Professional advice when writing your Will When writing a Will, you should use a professional Will writer or solicitor. Your Will must be signed and witnessed, and it is advisable to keep copies somewhere they can be easily located after your death.

If you have left a gift to FORCE, please let us know We would love to keep you informed about our vital work and to thank you personally. Gifts left in Wills make up a significant part of FORCE’s income, and it is thanks to your generosity that we can continue supporting more people living with cancer.

Making your Will

Make a Will service with Tozers Solicitors

We are delighted to be working with Tozers Solicitors in Exeter, Newton Abbot and Teignmouth. Tozers will kindly waive their fee for preparing a simple Will in return for a donation to FORCE Cancer Charity. This year‑round scheme is open to all FORCE supporters.

You can make an appointment with Tozers at any time – please call the Tozers office on 01392 207020 and quote FORCE when booking.

During your meeting, you will be able to discuss your wishes with the solicitor. If you require specialist advice or your Will is more complex than a simple Will, Tozers will provide details of any additional charges.

The suggested donations are £275 for a single Will and £350 for a mirror Will. Donations are made at the solicitor’s office at the time of your appointment and go directly to FORCE Cancer Charity.
