Good luck to Team Oncology for the final few hours of their challenge to complete sponsored laps of the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital’s Wonford site in aid of FORCE.

They started on Monday at 7am and plan to finish at 5pm today (Friday).

Around 70 cancer specialists from the hospital’s oncology department are on course to complete a total of 500 circuits of the campus.

Doctors, nurses, radiographers and other healthcare professionals have been walking or running around the perimeter of the RD&E, a distance of roughly two kilometres, before and after work and during their breaks.

Some of the team stayed late last night to get in some extra laps and join together for a special Clap for Carers outside the Exeter Oncology Centre.

They have raised a magnificent total of just over £6,600 for FORCE in response to the challenge set by Jenny Forrest, consultant clinical oncologist and a trustee at FORCE.
