Please help us to help others
We know there are people out there dealing with cancer that we could be helping TODAY.
But they may not know that FORCE can offer emotional, psychological and practical support during a time when we are all doing our bit to protect the NHS by staying safe at home and saving lives.
That’s where you come in.
We need you to use all your local contacts, community hubs and networks, noticeboards, magazines, newsletters and social media to let everyone know that FORCE is still here to help.
With our centres temporarily closed due to COVID-19, we can’t support people face-to-face but we can still help them one-to-one.
FORCE has restructured its services to offer ongoing support to cancer patients and their families.
Counselling appointments are available via phone and video calls.
The same goes for our benefits advice service, so essential at a time when cancer and Coronavirus combine to create so much uncertainty.
Our information nurses are at the end of a phone to speak to cancer patients, carers and family members to help them with their concerns during these fast-changing times.
Our specialist oncology physiotherapist is speaking to patients about what exercise they can do in their own homes.
And we have tools to help with anxiety, relaxation and mindfulness on our website.
The nurses we fund at the RD&E are still delivering vital chemotherapy treatment in Honiton and Okehampton every week.
Remember, when cancer turns your life upside down, FORCE is still here to help.
So please share this message, download a poster to display and make a difference in your community to the people who need our support.
