Shop smart and bag a bargain with FORCE this Christmas 

The FORCE Cancer Charity shop is gearing up for Christmas and the message is: Shop Smart, Bag a Bargain and Keep It Local.

The shelves are stacked with fantastic items to get you into the Yuletide spirit – all of them donated in support of local people affected by cancer.

Buying for the loved ones on your Christmas list in our charity shop means you are giving two gifts in one.

“You’re buying a present to be unwrapped on Christmas Day and making a valuable contribution to the work of a fantastic local charity at the same time. Everyone’s a winner,” said FORCE shop manager Anna Heard.

This year more than ever, people are thinking creatively about how they can make a difference at Christmas and spending in charity shops is the perfect way to do that.

Shop Smart – buying a gift from your local charity shop means doing your bit for the planet. Reusing and recycling pre-owned, once loved or unused items cuts down

on waste and your carbon footprint.

Bag a Bargain – save money by getting a cut-price deal on imaginative and alternative gifts.

Keep It Local – by spending your pounds and pence close to where you live, you are helping to support the local economy and you can see where your money goes in helping people in your community touched by a cancer diagnosis.

FORCE has redesigned its services to ensure we can still offer support to those who need us, despite COVID-19.

Safe

Face-to-face sessions are limited due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

But much of our support, including counselling, information, advice on claiming benefits and how to exercise safely are all available on the phone or via video calls.

Of course the Shop Smart, Bag a Bargain and Keep It Local campaign doesn’t just apply to the build-up to December 25 and our Christmas Corner at the shop.

There are hot deals to be had all year round.

FORCE has put in place COVID secure measures to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our shoppers.

We are open Monday to Saturday, 10:30am to 4pm so if you’re looking for inspiration, we’d love to see you.
