The FORCE is strong with Team Bradleys!

A team of cyclists from one of the West Country’s leading estate agencies has boosted fundraising for FORCE thanks to the generosity of Taunton shoppers.

FORCE, which supports those affected by cancer across the South West, is one of the chosen charities of 2017 for Bradleys, whose Taunton office decided to raise both awareness and money with a static bike ride.

Local gym Anytime Fitness offered the team use of a spinning bike for the day at the busy Orchard Shopping Centre where the team’s challenge was to cycle the distance from Taunton to Penzance, the area covered by Bradleys’ network of 33 offices.

Taunton Branch Manager, Jack Battersby, said: “When I calculated the route was 150 miles, I really thought we may struggle to achieve that in a day but the effort from my team was fantastic.

“We were helped out by some other staff from around the Bradleys Group which was very welcome and overall it was a true Team Bradleys effort.”

After just over eight hours in the saddle, the hot and tired team reached the 150-mile mark.

“We are amazed at the support from the public today with so many people having stopped to talk to us, show us support and donate money as well, with visits from Ashfords Solicitors dropping off some much needed cookies, cakes and water and to some of the Avon and Somerset Constabulary stopping by to cheer us on,” said Jack.

“I am delighted to announce a total of £267.50 was raised, up to and including the day, although we continue to receive donations via our justgiving page so please feel free to donate: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/BradleysTaunton.”
