FORCE Matters Autumn 2017 – out now!

The latest edition of our FORCE Matters newsletter is out now.

Click on the front page (below) to open up our 24-page celebration of the work we do to support anyone locally affected by cancer and the people who support us.

There are updates from the University of Exeter Medical School research team and FORCE funding for research into lung cancer, a piece on the latest major item of equipment purchased for the RD&E and the first patient it was used on in Exeter and features on how we have enabled chemotherapy to be delivered in Tiverton, the development of our family service into outreach and plans to develop our bereavement service.

There’s insight into a typical day in the life of our Information Team, information on a group of medical students who have set up a special project for cancer patients plus three pages of financial news and detail from the latest accounts.

Our volunteers are commended for their work on the wards, in the RD&E oncology snack bar and at the urology department’s health and well being clinics.

And finally there’s fundraising – articles on shop staff and volunteers, fundraisers who have supported FORCE in so many ways from walking Land’s End to John O’Groats, skydiving, running, cycling, eating, drinking, making music and so much more plus our wonderful corporate partners.

We hope you enjoy a good read!
