Lingerie and swimwear fayre proves a big hit

The first of this year’s Lingerie and Swimwear Fayres for breast cancer patients at our Support Centre was voted a huge success.
We run two of these events each year, offering women who have had surgery the opportunity to meet suppliers, try things on and get one-to-one advice.
FORCE invites representatives from shops within Exeter and East Devon as well as mail order and online lingerie and swimwear companies. It gives women an exclusive chance to see first hand a large selection of lingerie, which proves particularly useful with the mail order companies.
There are also free pamper sessions with a 20 minute hand or foot massage available.
The fayres runs from 5-8pm and also offer a great chance to meet other women who share a unique level of understanding and can offer tips, help and advice on what works when you experience a change of body image.
Information on prosthetics is also available.
“The evening went very well. The suppliers brought an excellent range of items for people to browse. What was especially lovely was to see a group of ladies chatting together over coffee, offering each other support and advice. It made the whole event worthwhile,” said organiser and FORCE trainee oncology support specialist Emma Ellis.
