Chris backs FORCE with big five challenge

If anyone has earned a bit of a rest this summer it’s FORCE supporter Chris Back.
The Moretonhampstead musician set himself a series of fundraising challenges this year with a target of raising £1,500 from his FORCE 5.
Over the course of six weeks he took part in two half marathons – the Keswick Mountain Festival trail run and the Great West Run – performed a solo acoustic gig at the Ship and Pelican in Heavitree, rode The Nello 60-mile route and returned to Topsham Rugby Club in time to perform with his band, The Dockneys.
His monumental efforts raised £1,797.75, taking his fundraising for FORCE from the last two years to £3,476!
“The challenge involved not just the events but countless hours of training, out running, on the bike over Dartmoor and learning some different songs and practice for the solo gig,” said Chris.
“Thank you so much to everyone who has donated to my fund! Thanks to everyone who’s helped me along the way by running, cycling, playing music with me and generally putting up with me. It’s been a pleasure and great fun to work with the amazing team at FORCE – they’re such a great charity as I’m sure many of you know.”
