• The FORCE Support and Information Centre is open every weekday from 9:30am to 4:30pm (except Bank Holidays), no appointment needed.

Healthcare professionals

At FORCE we consider it a vital part of our service to offer support for healthcare professionals involved in cancer care.

Our team works closely with staff from the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital to make sure anyone affected by cancer gets the best possible care and support.

Our service has developed into an integral part of the holistic treatment package for those whose lives have been touched by the disease, providing many types of support groups, therapies, financial and benefits advice and vital links with specialist teams.

We offer help and education for health service staff to ensure they are fully supported and offered professional development opportunities.

How we can help your patients

We can help support your patients emotionally, practically, and physically through their cancer diagnosis and treatment. This support extends to those adults close to them who may be affected by a cancer diagnosis.

Our Support and Information Centre is within easy reach of the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital and we are open weekdays, 9:30 am until 4:30 pm
Our building is designed to be a relaxed and welcoming space and provides a haven for people who may need a quiet space, soft seat or a cup of tea. We offer a drop-in service which requires no referral or appointment.

COME and SEE US! – please feel free to have a look around our Support Centre and learn a bit more about what we do. Call 01392 406151 for a tour of the centre and services.

Our staff

Our staff

The people in our centres are qualified professionals. They are counsellors, nurses with a background in oncology, physiotherapists, complementary therapists and benefits advisors.

We also have some staff who do specific sessions, for example couples therapy.

Free support for your patients and adults close to them

Support can be delivered in a number of ways at FORCE and our qualified staff can guide people to support that its most appropriate for them.

Emotional support

One-to-one counselling support, face to face, via video call or telephone.

Physical support

Our qualified physios can help with exercise during treatment.
