About

The Green Lantern is a circular night time half marathon, which follows the Green Circle clockwise around Exeter, through wooded valleys, meadows, bicycle lanes and along the banks of the Exe.

£1 from each entry will go towards supporting FORCE Cancer Charity. We also encourage runners to set up a fundraising page to raise additional funds for FORCE. This can be created when registering with us.

Starting from Exeter’s Quay opposite The Quay Climbing Centre, runners will turn left and cross the Exe via the weirs, before running through Ludwell Valley and Mincinglake Park and crossing the track near Exeter Central.

This is our latest, most exciting addition to the 2021 Wild Night Run Series and our first urban trail run.

Petzl are sponsoring the event with more than £2k worth of prizes across all categories with sufficient entries.

About the run

We will be starting runners in three waves of 30, according to your estimated finishing time. The fastest estimated times will be in wave one and so on. Everyone else can run as a team, a bubble or an individual.

Your actual finishing time will still be included in the final results.

**Please note, although this route will be well marked and marshalled and is already waymarked in places with the Green Circle symbol, we can not guarantee that none of the signs will have been moved.

You should not just follow other runners, so that you feel reasonably confident in your own ability (and also you’ll enjoy it more).

We highly recommend that you familiarise yourself with the route or follow our GPX downloadable from Viewranger.**
