A donation to FORCE can make a significant difference in your community.
It can help us fulfil our mission to provide face-to-face support for anyone locally affected by cancer. Every penny really does count.
The FORCE Support and Information Centre receives around 25,000 visits a year from patients and their families or carers – £1,500 will run the Centre for half a day, £30 gives one person the opportunity to attend a support group, £100 enables us to offer benefits advice to someone facing financial challenges and £500 would provide support services to children and families for one week.
Further holistic care costs include £50 for a community exercise programme to help patients cope with the physical effects of cancer treatment and £550 pays for the FORCE physiotherapy service for a week.
The charity is also committed to taking its services into the community with outreach centres in Okehampton every Wednesday, Tiverton every Thursday and Honiton every Friday – £1,250 funds a day of outreach support.
FORCE has also invested in local cancer research since 1987 and £170 funds a professional researcher for a day at the University of Exeter Medical School. FORCE receives no Government funding – the work of the charity relies entirely on voluntary contributions.
