WE ARE OPEN! From Monday April 12 we are back to normal opening hours of Monday to Saturday, 10:30am until 4pm with COVID-safe protocols in place.
We need to limit the number of bags or boxes donated by each customer for the first week at least to three to try to make it fair for all. By doing this we hope to be able to leave the donation bay open for at least the first hour each trading day.
Thank you for your support during the difficult times we have all endured in the past year. We will still be selling online via Gumtree, Depop and eBay so please “favourite” our pages to stay updated. Local deliveries will also be available.
We’ve worked hard to re-arrange the entire retail and backroom space to allow for free flow of customers and a new queue point.
Health and safety and information posters, cleaning products and PPE have all been provided.
FORCE would prefer customers to make payments contactless wherever possible.
Precautionary measures are in place to receive donations, which can be made only at our shop.
Donors are requested to leave donations in bags or boxes untouched for 72 hours before bringing them to us to help protect our vulnerable team members. See details below under donate items for more information.
We are also asking people to consider selling their items on eBay, Facebook Marketplace or other online platforms and giving us a percentage of the monies rather than trying to come to the shop.

Donations can be dropped in to the side gate donation bay. Please be aware though that this area is normally full within an hour of opening, so once this happens, regrettably, we are no longer able to take donations again until we’ve had time to clear the bay.
Apologies if we have to turn your donations away temporarily, but thank you all for your understanding and patience with this matter.
We must ask that you don’t leave donations outside the shop when we are closed.
If you would like to speak to the shop team to check what space is available, please ring 01392 271652. Thank you.
We also raise vital funds by selling old clothes and shoes for recycling. So if you have clean clothing that you thought was too worn out for us to sell, just label the bag as rag.
We have now started doing FREE limited collections in the local area. Please contact the shop on 01392 271 652.
Can you help us?
Please Gift Aid your donated items. If you are a tax-payer, for every £1 you help to raise we can claim an extra 25 pence from Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs. Simply sign up for Gift Aid when you take your items to our shop. Please ask our team for details when you arrive.

Before calling, please check the lists of goods we can’t accept and then give us a call to arrange a collection day on 01392 271652.
* A small charge applies for deliveries depending on the size of the item and the delivery location
Why not consider organising a collection at work of items from other staff colleagues. If you have an easily accessible office location, and a number of items to pick up we would gladly come out to you with our FORCE Van; if not, why not drop the items off monthly directly to our FORCE Shop in Heavitree. For more information call Olly on 01392 406150.
Volunteering at the FORCE Shop
We have a great many volunteering opportunities on the shop floor or behind the scenes and you can be as flexible as you like with the time you have available to volunteer. To join the team or get more information, call into the shop for a chat with shop manager Anna Heard or email forceshop@forcecancercharity.co.uk. This short film explains more about the opportunities available.
