Shared experiences and mutual understanding can help reduce isolation and strengthen your abilities to cope.
Support groups are often made up of patients with the same type of cancer. The majority of the groups at FORCE are facilitated by healthcare professionals for people with a diagnosis and some are for the people supporting them too. A few groups are run by patients and carers with occasional input from healthcare professionals.
When possible, all the groups listed below meet at the FORCE Cancer Support Centre.
Brain Tumour Support Group
FORCE Art Group
Gynaecological Support Group
Head and Neck Cancer Support Group
Laryngectomy Support Group
Oesophageal Patients and Carers Support Group
Pancreatic Cancer Support Group
Breast Cancer Support Groups
The Breast Cancer Support groups previously run by FORCE are at present unavailable.
Keeping in touch with others has been more challenging than ever since lockdown, so FORCE is offering a series of online support groups for people with cancer and their families to stay connected.
Please contact us on 01392 406151 if you wish to know about these or other local and national groups which may be able to support you.
