Trustee Jenny set for massive walking challenge
FORCE trustee Dr Jenny Forrest is all set to…
Children and young people need special care and support when someone close to them has cancer.
The FORCE family service supports every generation affected by a cancer diagnosis. We have oncology support specialists with particular expertise in working with children and young people because we recognise how important it is to offer a dedicated service for them at such a difficult time in their lives.
We see children and young people individually and periodically run a support group for those aged between six and 13 who have a close family member or friend affected by cancer.
It offers them the chance to meet others in the same situation, play some games, eat some biscuits and do some talking. We also organise excursions for activities like caving and sailing.
We are currently experiencing some staff difficulties and therefore only able to offer a limited service to children and young people. Please contact us on 01392 406168 for further details on how we can best support you at this time or email support@forcecancercharity.co.uk
