FORCE is committed to making our services available to anyone who needs them as close as possible to where they live.
We have dedicated significant funds to an outreach programme and we are now able to cover more areas of Devon, providing help and support to anyone affected by cancer.
When we are able, at Okehampton, Tiverton and Ottery St Mary we will have a team of professional staff and volunteers providing support and counselling, complementary therapies and information to mirror a number of the services on offer at our Exeter Support and Information Centre.
- Wednesdays (10am – 4pm) at Okehampton Hospital
- Thursdays (10am – 4pm) at Tiverton Hospital
- TBC at Ottery St Hospital
We are also funding the delivery of certain chemotherapy treatments at the hospitals in all three towns.
Access to our centres is temporarily restricted due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The risk of transmission of COVID-19 is too high for the group of people we support.
All support services in Okehampton and Tiverton have ceased but chemotherapy treatment continues in Okehampton and our new base in Ottery St Mary.
We have redesigned our services to offer support to those who need us. Counselling, information and advice on claiming benefits and how to exercise safely are all available on the phone or via video calls.
We are reviewing arrangements on a regular basis.
When able to do so, we also offer exercise programmes in Exeter, Exminster, Tiverton, Okehampton, Crediton, Axminster, Ottery St Mary, Axminster, Seaton, Exmouth, Honiton and Barnstaple.
Exercise advice is also available via phone and video calling.
Feedback has been extremely positive and we are confident that our outreach project will make a significant difference to the accessibility of our services to those living in more remote parts of the county.
Volunteers help to welcome visitors to our outreach centres in Okehampton, Tiverton and Ottery St Mary. For more information go to our Volunteer page or contact Heather Taylor on 01392 406154 or at email@example.com
