Okehampton TSB supports FORCE

To celebrate its partnership with FORCE, TSB’s partners and customers in Okehampton raised £200 by holding various events including a coffee and cake day.

The coffee and cake day was held as part of TSB’s Partnership Week, a countrywide celebration of TSB’s support for nearly 500 local causes.

As one of Britain’s newer banks, TSB has moved away from the traditional, centrally chosen ‘charity of the year’ adopted by many large mainstream organisations. Instead, TSB gives its partners the chance to pick their own local charity partner based on the needs of their local community.

Nicky Furse, bank manager at TSB in Okehampton, said: ‘It’s fantastic to hear first-hand how our partnership with FORCE cancer charity is helping them to provide more support to our local community. Our team in Okehampton thoroughly enjoys getting stuck into fundraising activities and it’s really rewarding to see the impact that it’s having.’

Through its local charity partnerships, TSB’s partners and customers have been busy fundraising for nearly 500 charities across Britain and have donated over £300,000 since the programme launched in January.
