FORCE Walks - keeping you active

Walking is one of the easiest ways to get active. You don’t need specialist equipment to get started – a good pair of shoes and you’re ready to go.

And best of all, it’s free!

Going for a walk is a safe way to get the exercise you need to make a positive change in your life.

There are so many health benefits to walking, especially for cancer patients.

It can help reduce many of the side effects of treatment. Exercise can also lower the risk of recurrence in some cancers by up to 60 per cent.

FORCE is keen to help you get started with a series of walks suggested by our supporters.

We’ve already started to put some together (see below).

And we’d like your help to gather an even greater variety of routes that anyone can access here on our website.

We’d like you to come up with as many of your favourite local walks for people to download and enjoy.

Our aim is to build a whole library of walks around our glorious county.

We are looking for walks across Devon, whether it’s coast path, common, city, countryside or woodland; flat or undulating; short or long or something in between.

We’ve come up with a template that you can fill in and send back to us so that we can share the strolls or stomps you love.

Our focus is on health and wellbeing over the coming months but if you particularly enjoyed a walk, why not consider a donation to FORCE.
