Volunteering
Volunteers are an essential and much valued part of our organisation. Whether it's fund-raising in the community, helping in our Award Winning shop in Heavitree, working in our coffee bar or working alongside staff at our Support Centre, their contribution is vital.
Support Centre Volunteers are the first point of contact when people arrive at the FORCE Cancer Support Centre. They play a very important part in welcoming visitors, helping them feel at ease and offering refreshments.
‘We feel very much part of a team working together to provide a welcoming and beneficial experience to those affected by cancer'.
To find our more about becoming a Centre Volunteer please contact Naomi Snook on 01392 406154 or via email naomips@forcecancercharity.co.uk
Volunteer Complementary Therapists also make a significant contribution to our complementary therapy service. If you are a qualified therapist and would like to get involved please call Anne Clemo on 01392 403094
New Volunteering Opportunity Do you have 3-4 hours a week to spare?
People wishing to volunteer in the Centre or at the new coffee bar who have had a personal experience of cancer or close bereavement are asked to give themselves at least a year before considering becoming a volunteer. In the meantime there are many other ways to support the work of FORCE:
