Bringing our services closer to you
FORCE is committed to making our services available to anyone who needs them as close as possible to where they live. We have dedicated nearly half a million pounds to an outreach programme and we are now able to cover more areas of Devon, providing help and support to anyone affected by cancer.
At Okehampton, Tiverton and Honiton we mirror a number of the services on offer at our Exeter Support and Information Centre. Each Wednesday (10am – 4pm) a team of professional staff and volunteers provides support and counselling, complementary therapies and information at Castle Ham Lodge in Okehampton. On Thursdays (10am – 4pm) we offer the same at Tiverton Hospital and we are at Honiton Hospital on Fridays (10am – 4pm).
We are also funding the delivery of certain chemotherapy treatments in all three towns.
As well as sessions at our Support Centre, we also offer exercise programmes at the Heavitree Hospital gym and in Exminster, Tiverton, Okehampton, Crediton, Axminster, Ottery St Mary, Axminster, Seaton, Exmouth and Barnstaple.
Feedback has been extremely positive and we are confident that our outreach project will make a significant difference to the accessibility of our services to those living in more remote parts of the county.
Our two short films below explain the services on offer at Tiverton and Okehampton and hear from people who have benefitted from FORCE being available closer to where they live.
Volunteers help to welcome visitors to our outreach centres in Okehampton and Tiverton. Anyone interested in donating their time should contact Naomi Snook on 01392 406154 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
