The Shop

Our award-winning shop in Exeter is open Monday to Saturday from 9:30am to 4:30pm each day.

It sells 100% donated goods and is one of the most interesting and popular of its kind in the country.

It has been likened to Aladdin’s Cave with its many rooms and alcoves and an amazing range of items for sale.

Thank you to everyone for your donations – it’s why the shop is so successful. We are always looking for good quality items to sell. You can drop off items in store or organise a pick up.

We also raise vital funds by selling old clothes for recycling. So if you have clean clothing that you thought was too worn out for us to sell, just label the bag as ‘rag’ and drop off in store.

Come and visit us to discover what everyone loves about our eclectic range. Unfortunately, there are some items we cannot accept – please check the FAQ section below for details.

We have a great many volunteering opportunities on the shop floor or behind the scenes and you can be as flexible as you like with the time you have available to volunteer. To join the team or get more information, call into the shop for a chat with shop manager Anna Heard or email This short film explains more about the opportunities available.

Can you help us?

Please Gift Aid your donated items.

If you are a tax-payer, for every £1 you help to raise we can claim an extra 25 pence from Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs.

Simply sign up for Gift Aid when you take your items to our shop.

Please ask our team for details when you arrive.

How do I donate items to the shop?

Should you want to donate items for sale in the shop please drop them into us during opening hours*.

We also raise vital funds by selling old clothes and shoes for recycling. So if you have clean clothing that you thought was too worn out for us to sell just label the bag as rag and drop off in store.

Furthermore, we do run a FREE collection service from certain locations. Read more about our pick-up and delivery services below.

* We must ask that you please don’t leave donations outside the shop when we are closed

Do you offer a collection and delivery service?

Collections and deliveries are normally available Monday to Saturday*.

If there are large items you see in the shop you would like delivered, please talk to a member of staff in store. Local delivery charge is normally £5 but we can organise delivery to other areas for an extra fee. Please note – the drivers can only deliver to the ground floor of apartment blocks.

Before calling, please check the lists of goods we can’t accept and then give us a call to arrange a collection day on 01392 271652.

How can I become a shop volunteer

The shop is run by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers to help raise funds to support all the services FORCE Cancer Charity offers.  We now have vacancies for new volunteers.

Whatever your hobbies, skills or interests – we will be able to keep you busy! Behind the scenes or out the front – come and join our superb team at the Shop and be a part of something truly special. If you have a morning or afternoon free per week we are looking for starters as soon as possible. Maybe you are available for a month over the winter period or for longer – this could be the opportunity you are looking for. Please drop in to the shop and speak with Anna, our Shop Manager, or email for further details.

Every penny counts

…will provide an hour of welfare benefits advice for someone affected by cancer.

…will provide a support session lead by a professional for a family affected by cancer.

…will fund a cancer researcher for a day in the University of Exeter Medical School.

…will run the FORCE Cancer Support and Information Centre in Exeter for half a day.

This year our funding requirements will top £1 million. The growing demands on our services means this will only increase. Please help us by donating even the smallest amount today.
