A diagnosis of cancer may mean having to deal with a lot of questions, issues and concerns that can sometimes be bewildering and frightening. Gaining information and knowledge can lessen anxiety and uncertainty and help the adjustment to coping with treatments and to living with cancer.
The FORCE Centre has a well-stocked library where patients, carers and relatives are invited to browse the many leaflets, helpful articles, books to borrow and audio-visual materials as well as having guided internet access.
Centre users can explore at their own pace, or can receive the support, advice and encouragement of Robert Oliver (Oncology Support Nurse) and Emma Ellis (Information Assistant), who aim to help ensure Information is available and relevant to their personal situation.
